A christmas present for the children in Nepal

Lots of us have the stockings filled with Christmas. How great would it be to just buy a present less or safe some money otherwise. As a Dutch person i can always give you some money saving tips. Spend the savings maybe worth a book to fill the library for the children in Nepal. A blogging friend is working on a great project to build a library for the Shree Nawabijayee Mahendra Secondary School. Visit this link and you can use the paypall widget to make a donation.

  6. Dear Marja,

Thank you for posting this. You are absolutely wonderful.

If you can't get the widget to work, you can also send a check to:

    A World of Good, Inc.
    3120 Chadbourne Rd.
    Shaker Heights, OH 44120
    USA

It is also possible to send a wire transfer but it is expensive. You can contact the Joy Foundation directly if you would like to do that and they will give you their routing number. I have it too.

If we can't use Pay Pal because you are in New Zealand and I am in the US, You might be able to contribute by sending a few books or magazines or a subscription directly to the school. I can give you the address. Educational magazines like National Geographic, or National Geographic for kids is really useful because of the information and the photos. The few that I have seen in Nepal are treasured, read and re-read for years!

    Thanks again!

    Sincerely,

    Jennifer Gerard

  7. Hello again. I went to Pay Pal to see if there was a problem and they had a restriction on international currencies which I have unblocked. Hopefully, I have fixed the problem.
    Peace!

  10. This is a very good cause Marja. I often tell my children that Christmas is not all about having presents for themselves, and a book in hand is always treasured a lot. My kids are avid readers and we have a whole shelf of books..many read for only one time and left there, I wont mind sending them there if the costs arent so high..that wd be interesting.

A merry christmas to you Marja, enjoy the spirit of christmas with lots of blessings to you and family. Hugs..M

How did you get involved with Nepal?

I once help raise funds to separate a pair of Siamese twins from Nepal.

Is Christchurch quite back to normal?

A friend visited, and they were having lunch and there was after shocks. nobody rush out.
