Inspirational quotes

Too many things on my mind. Picasa has some new tools so I enjoyed playing with them. I took some of my photos which never made it to blogger and had fun and spiced them up with some quotes. The best cure.....

True creativity is impossible without some measure of passion. Teresa Amabile

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realise they were the big things.  Robert Brault

We Don’t See Things as They Are. We See Things as We Are. Anais Nin
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘Happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
 John Lennon

Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. Howard Thurman

A smile starts on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes,
A chuckle comes from the belly; but a good laugh
Burst forth from the soul Overflows and bubbles all around
Carolyn Birmingham

  1. Hello Marja

I love this post, so uplifting. My favourite being Howard Thurman's "Don't ask yourself what the world needs Ask yourself what makes the world come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive"...that is brilliant
    Thanks you

  5. So rarely do I see Anais Nin mentioned. She is a favorite author of mine so it was a nice surprise to see the quote you mentioned that I believe to be true of life. Also, what fun to play with a digital arts program. The first photo has been transformed into a lovely painting. :)

  7. Kauri dieback: a disease that kill the Kauri trees. The spray is a sterilisation procedure to stop the spread. I have done a post on Save the World.

  9. Hi Marja,

I was so excited to see these pictures. I've just recently moved to Picasa (thanks to Google shutting down Picnic.com). I'm just getting used to it and am really happy to see these lovely edits.
