Book Launch Sparkles on Water

Hi everyone,
Long time no see. I just show up to tell you that all is good in this part of the world. Or all is a bit much. My husband still has 6 weeks of chemo to go but the cancer is killed and the end is in sight. Straight after his last days of  nasty pills, we go to my daughter who has an exhibition as she is in her last year at Uni as a fine art student. Finally celebration!

Also celebration as it is Spring and everything is in full bloom as you can see

I engaged in a bit of art. I cheated as I already had the pictures and the poems so I just had to line them up in a book, ordered two of them on Blurb and put it up for sale.  I showed it proudly on Facebook and felt like a real author lol. A fan started chatting and told me about some English mistakes. I thought we can't have that and rushed online pressed the edit button and publish. Then I deleted the old one. Wrong.....I suddenly saw that the new book, with three different words, would be removed in 14 days unless I bought a copy. (The other two copies I ordered were for the deleted book.) I also had to pay the full amount of send cost again as they don't combine the two orders.

But I am Dutch and proud of that too. I reckoned that I will never earn back the cost of buying another one so have a quick look as it will soon be gone. It is gone. Blurb has deleted me, but I offer you a free PDF

A present for you The PDF of "Sparkles on water". Click on the photo and download.

  1. What wonderful news.

I'm so glad to hear from you.

My sister's cancer is still alive and being fought daily, but it's wonderful to hear that yours (husband's) is being overcome.

I can't wait to read your book.

Take care of yourself and your family.

    Live and laugh every day.

I'm sending you my best healing wishes.

    Love,

    Groeten, Marianne

  4. Hi Marja! I am sorry to read that your husband has been ill all this time. I wish you all the best.
You write a lot and that is great. I found that when something bothers you and you keep worrying all the time, it is wonderful to write a story about the person or persons who are deceiving you. I did it about someone who had stolen a lot of money, and I laughed about the things I let him say and do. In my story he is an alcoholic and very pathetic. It helps!
I wish you lots and lots of happy moments and success with the books.

  5. Hi Marja - I'm so glad your hubby is much improving and long may that continue. The thought of your daughter's exhibition will be a wonderful inducement to have some very happy times together. Well done on getting the job organised, and then your book - oh gosh pressing wrong buttons so easy to do. Good luck with everything ... enjoy life that's the main thing .. cheers Hilary

  6. So wonderful to hear your husband is on the mend! And your book is fabulous … so professional looking! One of my favourite of your poems is A Door To The World. Now more than ever we could all do with “learning to paint with the colours of compassion”. Also, love the analogy you found at the Train Station because “all the world IS a stage” and we are the players. :)
