This Season

This will be my last post for a while so let me first of all take the opportunity to thank all my blogging friends and friends on writers island for an amazing time with you this year. I had a great flight. I will leave for a couple of weeks to completely indulge in this season. The season of: Preparing and celebrating Christmas. We will surround the BBQ with friends on Christmas day and our minds will also be with family and friends overseas.
My husband's birthday on the last day this year. William is not a man of poetry and flowers. He is however the man who with quiet dedication keeps his hands on the steering wheel to sail this family with highly sensitive people through stormy weathers. Thanks William and we wish you another good sailing year.
I will spent New Years day with some of my beloved home children knowing that William will take good care of the home front.
In January we will be gone for two weeks on Summer holiday to Lake Wanaka to explore another part of this paradise. We will tell you all about it when we come back in the third week of January .
This season
By Marja Blom

In this season we wear a crown
with gems of joy and peace
of caring and sharing in a way
which captures the spirit of Christmas day

In this season we start New Year
but let's not store the crown away
let it's gems shine each new day
as bright as it did on Christmas day.
Ngā mihi o te Tau Hou ki a koutou katoa !!
Wishing you all a very happy New Year!!
Bye and Ka kite ano, Marja

Your beautiful poem really touched my spirit -- especially the part about not storing the crown away just yet. Yes!!, let the "gems shine each day as bright as it did on Christmas day".

Now, How about being a "Blogger of the World"? I nominate you and your web site for the award, which I proudly accepted from AngelBaby.

Angel has an article on her site about angels and a miracle which I think all should read, but I think you will like. The link is on my site, Gimme A Dream. You can pick up your award and the link at the same time.
