Botanic gardens

On Sunday we had our 1.344 th walk through the Botanic Gardens. That's how much we love it. There is 30 hectares of about 30.000 exotic and indigenous plants, in the centre of Christchurch. The gardens were set up in 1863. We also went to the Art Centre but I will post the pictures of it another time because otherwise I could cover pages and pages. It was difficult to choose which ones to publish. Above is a look on the cafe as you approach the footbridge entering the Gardens.

One of my favourite spots, inhabited by ducks. As always I love little ones. It was very funny to see how some of them were trying to waddle on the leaves.

Just a peaceful pretty place.

I absolutely love all the old beautiful trees in the park. It feels as if they radiate energy, My children like the ones you can climb in of course. We still call them climbing trees in my house. The one above is a macracarper tree. William said; this is how our hedge is going to look like when he doesn't cut it.
