For me shopping is a weekly chore. Usually we go to the mall once a week for grocery shopping. Most of the shops there are chain stores. They are the same in every shopping centre. There are 3 places were I buy my clothes. Clothes shopping used to be fun when I was younger (and slim)now it doesn't take me that long anymore. I stil have a weakness for scarfs though. A treat is when we go to the city centre and browse in the second hand bookshops and walk through the Art centre. There are however more beauties in the city tucked away in side streets. One of them is Fazazz classic cars. It is like a museum and sells next to gorgeous classic cars and model cars also other treasures. Have a look. Isn't it a cool shop
Oooh I like posts about Christchurch - cos I can actually do something about it - go and explore! I love the Arts centre too - I can get lost in there - willingly (!) 'Junk' shops are great fun. There is one at Methven where you can have muffins and tea - then go rummage in the brick-a-brack.
ReplyDeleteI find shopping a chore now! Most of my grocery stuff is delivered, but we do have a wonderful butcher just down the road - Aberdeen Angus beef and free-range chickens!
ReplyDeleteChristchurch sounds fun!
That's definitely my kind of shop. I love to browse for hours. It's along the same lines as the museum I posted about on my photo blog, but I couldn't buy anything--which saves me a lot of money!
