I's been a long time coming

 Poem for poets and storytellers united



It's Been a Long Time Coming

It’s been a long time coming
I live my best life now.
I keep my head held high
Through life’s twists and turns.

I am my own hero,
Facing fears and shadows,
Conquering obstacles,
Stepping beyond the pain.

I build my boundless path
Like an ancient stonemason,
Guided by my higher mind,
Creating sacred stepping stones.

I go with the flow
On silver drops in a silver sea,
Shining proud beneath pale moonlight,
Moving with the rhythm of reality.

    I find myself in your poem. I try to "go with the flow" where and when possible, yet at the same time "I am
    my own hero" when facing fears and overcoming obstacles. I trust only God and myself. No one else.
