Every time an aftershake comes we are holding our breath. The last big one was just before 8.00 AM this morning and the whole house was shaking again. On the blog of Four paws and whiskers I found an amazing link
This website shows all the quakes, their depth and the area in order from the first on on saturday up till now. Very impressive. Click on the link to play them of ; Christchurch quake map
Hang tight, keeping everyone in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHi Marja
ReplyDeleteTy for the link will go there soon. Yes, aftershocks are always the by-product of earthquakes. What I have been reading about is that the building codes in NZ are quite impressive and structures have built-in earthquake resistors. What needs to be done is to keep listening to earthquake advisories and take all necessary precautions to keep you and your family safe. New Zealand is in my prayers. Take care. Blessings to all.
Just watched the quake map, Marja. Terrifying. And this is from a girl in California - the land of earthquakes.
ReplyDeleteHang in there Marja. Soon it will quieten down. It must be very distressing for alkl living in the region, Stay safe. Bob
