A wonderful day out with blogging friends

We spend a terrific time with Diane and Bill, blogging friends from Australia. In the morning we headed off to Akaroa and had lunch together. What a treasure to meet such lovely people and a pleasure to show them around.

We did something different this time and went to Fisherman's Bay garden, about 20 minutes from Akaroa. This private garden is an absolute paradise with gorgeous flowers and native plants, great art, like the corrugated cow and stunning views.

You never get enough from the views from Akaroa either

I hadn't been to the Giant House for a while and took Bill and Diane there. I hadn't seen these swinging girls yet with trumpets on their head.

The hot summer put the whimsical and colourful mosaic creations in the limelight. We then got back to Christchurch again. A fantastic day

  8. Wonderful to see your husband regain his health. Soft rolling hills surrounding a beautiful blue cove where boats bob up and down is a scene of serenity and the perfect place for you and your blogging friends to visit. The recent earthquake shakes a hard won sense of security and is a stark reminder, yet again, that life is unpredictable. Now that I have come to know your precious part of the world through blogging, NZ is more than ever in my thoughts.

  11. I wish i can visit Christchurch in my next visit to NZ, hopefully there will still be in the future. My sister in Auckland asked me if we will visit Rotorua, Waitomo or Christchurch and i chose the latter. Someone said the ruins of the earthquakes are still there. How lovely to meet with blogger friends, i love to see my blogger friends too.
