A Fisherman finally arrived at the rocky shore of the
island. They had told him not to fish here as it was dangerous. The fisher hadn’t
caught anything for days so he had to take his chances.
He fished and got excited, fish after fish after fish entered his boat. Suddenly, bang, the boat became stuck in the rocks. If I only wouldn’t have taken so many, he cried, thinking about his hungry wife and children.
Suddenly a man appeared who saw what happened. "Fisher, I will get you out of there if you give me all but two fish." "But my wife and my children are hungry." "Take these two fish they are everything you need." "Ok than", said the fisherman, thanks for helping me". As he prepared the fish at home he found in both a big pearl.

You get lucky wit some, but not necessarily with all. What a wonderfully written themed story.

A risk that paid off, and a valuable lesson learned. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteHi Marja - lovely story ... I found a pearl in an oyster once in South Africa - unfortunately my ex wasn't as careful as he should have been ... and it disappeared when we moved - I was pretty irritated! Love this story though ... he and his family will be happy for their days... cheers Hilary
