The train station

I found this fun thing today on photoFunia where you can upload your picture and it prompted me to write this poem
The train station by marja blom
I watch them pass by
and catch a glimpse of the play
of the actors of live
who's props are newspapers
suitcases and cellphones
The lines in their face
and the light in their eyes
reveal a clue to an untold story
Directed by a voice
"the 10.30 to Amsterdam
 is leaving on platform two"
they step in the carcass
of steel and glass
driving them to their next act
 I watch them pass by
and catch a glimpse of their play

  5. Kia ora Marja,
Well done, I always love that concept of a moment in peoples lives. There is a lot going on there in all these "untold" stories. Very cool.

  6. hi marja,

I know you are a poetry-artist, but you also showed yourself looking at the busy people. How did you do THAT?

    Thanks for your comments,
Dankjewel voor je lieve verjaardags wensen,

  9. Hi Marja

The imagery in the poem was magnificent. In my mind's eye you brought to life the scenery and I saw myself having flashbacks to the times I had to ride the subway, the tube and metro in those big countries so far from my home. Please indulge me with more of your poems. It was a delightful read. Thank you for sharing your artistry with me.

    Cheers
