An inspirational story

Traffic control tower Christchurch airport
I saw the airport twice this week. Once to go to Auckland up and down for work and yesterday to drop of my husband. The airport has been renewed completely and is very spacey and modern. When I went in the plane to Auckland the Stewart said "There is a lot of turbulence in Christchurch at the moment. It will get better though when we are in the air." :)

I've got an inspirational story for you:
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson
about a battle that goes on inside all people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two
wolves that dwell inside each and everyone of us.

 “One is Evil.
It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed,
 arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority,
lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

 The other is Good.
It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
 kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity,
 truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for
a minute, and then asked his grandfather:
 “Which wolf will win ?”

 The old Cherokee simply replied:
 “The one you feed.”

  3. Even those who fear flying might feel safer in the air these days with the ground still seeming to rumble. We heard there was another recent earthquake in NZ, although perhaps not in the Christchurch area. Your previous post showing the destruction of beautiful buildings that look like precious works of art is sad. The lone standing door reminds me of a Harry Potter scene. It IS magical that it survived! Also, enjoyed the poem in this post. And sorry to hear about your husband’s mom. Wishing you all strength and peace of mind in the days ahead!

  4. Your photos are eye-opening. I saw volcanic damage in Indonesia last month... Thanks for stopping by my blog, but I am not doing much blogging there these days (and am real bad about visiting other blogs) as I'm on the road for 3 1/2 months. I'm posting my summer travel notes here: www.jeff-ridingrails.blogspot.com

In my blog, I just got to Cambodia. In real life, I'm half way up Vietnam! -Sage

  6. Great story and it is so very true.

"There is a lot of turbulence in Christchurch at the moment. It will get better though when we are in the air."

Its early in the morning on my end of things and I had to read it twice. After it penetrated my thick skull I coughed on my coffee laughing so much.

  16. That is a great shot of the airport. Very spacy. Great sense of humour of the flight attendant. And that story is very inspirational indeed. If only everyone would feed the good wolf ;-)
