Magaly of Poets and Storytellers united asked us to be inspired by on (or more) of the four classical elements: earth, air, fire and water.
Start living now
Start living now
Breath in the air
Turn it into spoken poetry
Ground yourself to the earth
to ignite the flow of her wisdom
Emit sparks of immortal fire
burning splinters of vulnerability
Connect through your pain
meet in this common place
Connect from your empty void
fill it with each other’s warmth
Connect through joy and laughter
till the stars sparkle with splendour
Enjoy pink bluebells
ringing of renewal
Enjoy purple grapes
bath in its abundance
Then immerse yourself
into the water of silence
It is here where you hear
the foghorn to guide you
through the mist
It is here where you
read the road maps
as a pioneer of life
Others will be your mirror
By attending to the smiles
in the mirror
you are expanding
on your happiness
Align yourself with the truth of
the Air, Earth, Fire and Water
and start living now
Beautiful blog
ReplyDeleteEspecially love the idea of breathing in air and turning it into spoken poetry...and the water of silence being the guide... but mostly this resonates: connecting through pain by meeting in a common place... absolutely beautiful thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes, live each day like the last living day.
ReplyDeleteIt's so true that "attending to smiles" expands happiness as does attending to sadness.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I especially love this stanza:
ReplyDeleteEnjoy pink bluebells

Then immerse yourself
into the water of silence
It is here where you hear
the foghorn to guide you
through the mist
our lives - as poetry . I also find the phrase "Connect from your empty void" very interesting to ponder
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of connecting to other living things through empathy. The wonders we could accomplish if we truly loved and treat others with kindness. The joy would spread... and it would hold us comfortably tight.
ReplyDeleteLove the last three lines so much.
This excellent. I am very good advice.
ReplyDeleteLots of Inspiration here for poem topics, Marg. '
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to post my comment here since before your bedtime yesterday. My smart phone and google wouldn't let me sign in though. Then later last night I left another, I thought I did, but it got lost someplace. Trying again, this time will be a charm.
..
"Turn it into spoken poetry" - very beautiful and positive verse.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you wove all the elements into a perfect whole with words from your inner awareness. ♥
